Rivals star Bella Maclean reveals she insisted on a no-'nudity clause' so she would not 'sexually exploit' innocent Taggie
Alex Hassell, playing Tory MP Rupert Campbell-Black opposite Bella Maclean in Rivals, whose second-season return to Disney+ was confirmed for 11 November.
Bella Maclean, 28, who plays wide-eyed innocent Taggie O'Hara in the raunchy Disney+ drama 'Rivals', told Harper's Bazaar UK she negotiated the clause before filming began because Taggie's purity made exploitation — of the character and herself — unthinkable. The second half of season two returns to Disney+ on 11 November, with a third series already confirmed.
Maclean joked she'd happily go naked herself: 'If I had Victoria Smurfit's body, I'd probably be walking around naked!'
Hollywood star Emily Blunt gave Maclean a candid warning: 'The industry isn't perfect — there are going to be moments when things are really unfair, and you need to know when to stand up for yourself.'
Maclean praised 'Rivals' for employing intimacy co-ordinators, adding: 'We're all good friends who can just say no to the directors and they'll listen.'
