US Four Corners region braces for more rain and rising rivers after 'once in a generation' floods forced rooftop rescues

Aimee Goodday and her family spent 12 hours stranded on their trailer roof after freezing water poured in at midnight. In Colorado, the San Juan River ran three feet higher than last year's 100-year flood. Around 600 homes near Farmington, New Mexico, were urged to evacuate and 1,500 people lost power. Police Chief Steve Hebbe said no deaths had been reported so far.

San Juan County emergency chiefs warned 'the rivers are expected to rise again'.

Archuleta County's sheriff branded the damage in southwestern Colorado 'catastrophic'.

New Mexico National Guard troops rescued an infant suffering seizures from the floods.
