Houthi forces have struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh for a second time, Saudi officials confirmed within the past few hours. Thursday's attacks, which the Houthis say involved two cruise missiles, left three Saudi nationals dead and a number of others wounded. Europe's aviation safety agency EASA has widened its no-fly advisory zone over Saudi Arabia, while flight safety group OPSGROUP has directed its 10,000 members to stay out of Saudi airspace altogether.
Lufthansa Group and three Indian airlines have halted Riyadh services, with EASA citing dangers including missile overflights, misidentification by air-defence systems and falling debris.
Organisers say major Saudi flagship conferences will go ahead as planned, even as repeated strikes on the capital's main airport cast doubt on whether doing so is safe.
