Adam Jeskins was at the wheel of a marked police car on the M6 on October 5, 2024, when he passed 100mph on five separate occasions, switched on the lights and siren with no policing reason and sped through roadworks where the limit had been cut to 50mph to protect workers. When Warwickshire Police sent a speeding notice, he claimed he had been doing 80mph 'as an enforcement speed' in a traffic car.

Former special constable Adam Jeskins sat on Northamptonshire Police's road safety team at the time, the panel noted.

Four professional standards breached, including honesty and integrity, discreditable conduct, and orders and instructions, the panel found.

Northamptonshire Police says it remains 'as determined as ever' to hold officers falling short to account.
