Mabel Lowe, 17, has broken her silence on the death of her younger sister Fiona with a moving Instagram post, writing 'I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now.' The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner confirmed Fiona's manner of death as suicide after emergency services responded to the family home at 12.10am on 29 September; she was pronounced dead at 1.14am. Chad Lowe, 58, and wife Kim Painter described their daughter as 'the light of our lives' and urged anyone struggling to contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Mabel shared a carousel of childhood photos with Fiona, including one of her sister dancing and another of the two playing at the beach.

Rob Lowe arrived at Chad's Los Angeles home with his son John Owen to support his younger brother after the tragedy.

Grandfather Chuck shared an old photo of Fiona smiling in a swimming pool, writing simply: 'Rest in peace sweet Fiona.'
