Ioan Asafeti, 39, Laurentiu-Daniel Nitisoara, 38, and Sergiu Plastin, 42, were jailed for a combined ten years and two months at Kingston Crown Court. They had raided Selvaraja Gold House on Mitcham Road in May. At 3am on July 17 they returned, broke into the massage parlour next door and began digging through the wall. Police linked the trio to more than £700,000 of break-ins across London.

Plastin was tracked by phone data and caught at Stansted trying to flee to Ireland.

Interpol enquiries found the gang had possible links to similar raids across Europe.
