Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft win Celebrity Traitors as faithfuls after King Kenny seals fellow traitor Maya Jama's fate
James Acaster, 41, who had been recruited as a reluctant Traitor by Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant despite only ever wanting to play as a Faithful.A clip shared on X of James Acaster's roundtable confession — the first time any contestant has self-outed in the show's history without a vote being called.
Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft each declared "I began this game as a faithful, and I'm ending this game as a faithful" at the firepit, taking home the £64,500 prize fund. Their victory came after traitor King Kenny turned on his own ally Maya Jama at the final roundtable, casting the decisive vote that sealed her banishment. Croft called it "the best day of my life" while Ranganathan dedicated the win to his youngest son Charlie.
Michael Sheen was the final murder victim of the series, picked off by Maya Jama and King Kenny before the last roundtable.
Filming was paused during Thursday's roundtable after James Acaster became visibly anxious ahead of outing himself as a traitor — the BBC said contestant welfare is its 'highest priority'.
Acaster, who was recruited as a traitor against his wishes, said his confession had been 'unthinkable' but told viewers the proper final was "much better" than a traitor walkover.
