Abu Dhabi royal Mahrah Al Nahyan admits child neglect after passing out on London street during cocaine binge

Mahrah Al Nahyan, 32, a member of the Abu Dhabi ruling family through marriage, was found slumped against railings unconscious next to an unknown man in west London in June while a barefoot three-year-old played unattended near moving traffic. She admitted one charge of child neglect at Southwark Crown Court and remained unresponsive for 30 minutes when police arrived, before waking to yell at officers: 'This is not a slaughterhouse, why do you care so much?' Al Nahyan has been receiving drug addiction treatment at the Priory centre in Woking since July. The Abu Dhabi royal family is estimated to be worth more than £250 billion.
A passerby filmed Al Nahyan passed out on the pavement next to a scooter and toy plane belonging to the toddler.
Officers found drug paraphernalia on her but no illegal substances when they searched her at the scene.
Her barrister Stephen Vullo KC told the court she has stopped using drugs and shown 'significant remorse and resolve to overcome her addiction'.
