Senior royals remain baffled by Harry and Meghan's agenda more than a month after the Sussexes relocated back to Britain, with the family reportedly still uncertain about their motives. King Charles has already issued a formal letter via the Lord Chamberlain making clear the couple will be classified as non-working royals. Royal commentators are split on whether the palace is right to draw firm boundaries or is actively undermining the pair's return.
On September 10, William and Kate appeared together in public for the first time since Harry and Meghan's return, attending World Suicide Prevention Day at Everton's stadium in Liverpool.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe described the outing as 'the regal equivalent of flexing their combined muscles in a show of solidarity that sent a message to the Sussexes.'
William and Kate are also expected to travel to Mumbai in November for the Earthshot Prize — their first joint foreign engagement in four years.
