Rufus Hound marries EastEnders actress Sally Hodgkiss in a woodland ceremony after stage proposal

Comedian Rufus Hound, 47, has wed former EastEnders star Sally Hodgkiss, 42, in a woodland ceremony following a three-year relationship. Hound announced the marriage on Bluesky with a photo showing a wedding countdown calendar and the caption: "Everyone have a good weekend?" The couple met during a 2022 pantomime in Norwich and got engaged in 2024 after Hound dropped to one knee on stage at Wilton's Music Hall.
Hodgkiss portrayed Walford East waitress Steph Bailey in EastEnders in 2019 and was also performing stand-up at Glastonbury when the couple went public in 2023.
Hound proposed mid-curtain-call, stepping onto the stage beside Hodgkiss — who was momentarily baffled, given that their roles in the production had cast them as brother and sister.
The wedding comes six years after Hound's split from his first wife, Beth Johnson, with whom he shares two children and remains on friendly terms.
