Russell Brand jury enters a second day of deliberations with 22 questions to answer on seven sex charges he denies
Russell Brand leaving Southwark Crown Court in October, as Ryder Cup winner Bernard Gallacher sat beside him in the public gallery throughout Monday's closing speeches.
Russell Brand, 51, faces seven charges spanning a decade — three counts of rape, three of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault against six women between 1999 and 2009, all of which he denies. Mr Justice Bennathan told the jury of eight men and four women to reach unanimous verdicts, with no pressure of time.
If convicted of rape, Brand could face anything from four years to a life sentence under Sentencing Council guidelines.
Brand's wife Laura Gallacher, 38, daughter of Scottish golfing legend Bernard Gallacher, gave evidence last week describing him as 'caring' and 'kind'.
