Russia launched a combined strike of ballistic and cruise missiles alongside 157 drones at more than 10 locations across Kyiv overnight into Thursday, wounding at least 19 people, including a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. Ukraine's air force said 131 Russian aerial targets were destroyed or suppressed over the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed a Ukrainian counterstrike, with attacks on an oil refinery in Yaroslavl and a military airfield in the Rostov region.
In Odesa, fire broke out in a residential building and a kindergarten was damaged, leaving seven people hurt, two of them children.
Russia's defence ministry said its forces struck metallurgical plants, military-industrial factories and three bulk carriers in the port of Chornomorsk.
Peace talks remain deadlocked, despite Trump's claim on Monday that both sides had mutually agreed to halt attacks on each other's energy facilities.
