Vladimir Putin's regime has drawn up a hitlist of UK targets for sabotage or arson, with a drone factory next to RAF Mildenhall in West Suffolk top of the list. Former Russian deputy foreign minister Andrei Fedorov has stated that planning is under way at the "highest levels of the Russian government," and that Britain is now viewed in Moscow as "evil number one." Fedorov said the anger surged after UK-made drones struck Russian oil refineries, and Prime Minister Andy Burnham's decision to share classified Storm Shadow missile technology with Ukraine has inflamed it further.

The factory earmarked is owned by British-Ukrainian firm Ukrspecsystems, whose location next to a key RAF special-operations base was made public in April.

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said the "reckless rhetoric" reflects Putin's weakness and that the UK "will not be intimidated."

Russia is reportedly considering hybrid tactics — sabotage and arson — precisely to avoid triggering a formal Nato military response.
