A senior adviser to Vladimir Putin has warned that the highest levels of the Kremlin are actively considering a 'hybrid attack' — sabotage or arson — against British targets, singling out drone firm Ukrspecsystems, based next to RAF Mildenhall in West Suffolk, as a priority. Andrei Fedorov, a former Russian deputy foreign minister, told journalists the UK is now 'evil number one' in Moscow's eyes. The threat comes as Putin met Lukashenko in Belarus and Poland's President Donald Tusk warned that Russian escalation is 'progressing' and 'the next six months will be decisive.'

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting called the Kremlin's rhetoric 'reckless' and said Putin is showing 'weakness', not strength.

Ukrspecsystems' location next to RAF Mildenhall was publicly identified by Russia in April alongside five other European weapons and drone manufacturers.

Putin is also reported to have fired a nuclear-capable ballistic missile in what analysts are calling a direct warning to the West.
