Russia unleashes a massive overnight attack on Ukraine's electricity grid as temperatures drop ahead of winter

Russia targeted Ukraine's electricity grid in one of its heaviest overnight bombardments in months, hitting facilities across multiple regions and triggering widespread power outages just as sub-zero temperatures begin to bite. Zelenskyy gave Fox News an exclusive interview from Kyiv defiantly rejecting Trump's pressure to halt Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Zelenskyy told Trump: 'If you want us not to attack Russia's refineries, they have not to attack our energy system.'

The strikes are already strangling Ukraine's economy — steel production has shut down and grain exports have stalled, tightening the economic vice on Kyiv.
