Russian glide bombs kill at least 15 in Zaporizhzhia including three children hours after Trump's diesel deal with Moscow

Russia launched five glide bombs at the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Saturday morning, leaving at least 15 dead — among them three children — and 16 wounded, with rescuers still searching for survivors buried beneath the rubble. Acting Mayor Regina Kharchenko said the bombs struck residential buildings, bringing down floors above the point of impact. Zelensky cautioned that Russia would respond to any reduction in pressure, vowing "Russia must feel its losses."

The attack came hours after President Trump unveiled an agreement under which the US would purchase Russian diesel, a move Zelensky condemned as a gift to Putin and "an investment in a war that must be ended."

Kharchenko said more than 80 rescue workers were combing through the wreckage, stopping at intervals to listen for anyone still alive beneath the collapsed apartment blocks.

Zelensky said 13 other Ukrainian regions were also hit overnight, cautioning that Moscow steps up its attacks whenever it senses the pressure against it beginning to ease.
