Russia's intensified aerial assault on Kharkiv has killed at least five people and wounded dozens more, with guided bombs destroying residential buildings and warehouses across Ukraine's second-largest city. A repeat strike targeted emergency responders already working the scene, killing one more and injuring six. Mayor Ihor Terekhov warned rescuers were still searching for survivors trapped under rubble.
Among the casualties from the guided-bomb strikes on Kharkiv was a factory worker who had a nail driven into his forehead.
Russia launched 205 drones overnight, of which Ukraine's air force says it shot down or suppressed 172, including with newly installed AI-operated automated gun turrets in Kyiv.
A drone was also filmed slamming into a bridge and engulfing cars in flames in a separate strike caught on camera.
