Ryanair flight to Ibiza forced back into the air as brawling passenger is arrested by Spanish police on landing

A man triggered a mid-air brawl on a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Ibiza on October 5 after rising from his seat to visit the bathroom while the seatbelt sign was illuminated, forcing pilots to abandon the landing approach. Witness Harry Watson, 28, said the man turned violent after fellow passengers remonstrated with him, lashing out at those nearby and requiring repeated restraint before Spanish police arrested him on the tarmac.

The ongoing fight left the pilots unable to complete their landing preparations, forcing them to pull the aircraft back into the air mid-approach.

A female cabin crew member was caught on camera screaming 'sit down' as a group of passengers tried to restrain the man.

After Ryanair crew called ahead for assistance, Spanish police handcuffed the passenger and removed him from the aircraft at Ibiza Airport.
