Sam Bailey's epileptic son Tommy suffered an injury to his face during the seizure — his second major episode in just five weeks despite medication.

X Factor winner Sam Bailey watched her son Tommy wait nearly seven hours in a chaotic A&E without seeing a doctor after he suffered a massive seizure and was blue-lighted to hospital by ambulance.

Tommy, who has epilepsy and autism, has now had two seizures in just five weeks despite being on medication meant to prevent them.

Sam said Tommy injured his face during the seizure and may have concussion, describing herself as looking 'like a bag of nails' after the overnight ordeal.

'Lots of screaming, lots of drama — I feel like I'm on the set of Holby City,' Sam told her followers, adding that staff were 'doing their best' under enormous pressure.
