Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden, whose husband she says is not discussing Bond casting rumours at home — though she has admitted she would love to play a 007 villain herself.
Saoirse Ronan has deflected speculation that her husband Jack Lowden has been cast as the next James Bond, joking that it is Gary Oldman who 'thinks he's James Bond — which is its own thing.' Ronan told Associated Press that the couple are too busy with daily life to discuss the rumours, insisting 'the dog needs to be walked, the dinner needs to be made.'
Oldman, Lowden's 'Slow Horses' co-star, went further last month, claiming 'they have picked him — they have made their choice, but have not announced it yet.'
Lowden, 36, sits at the top of the bookmakers' lists alongside Callum Turner, Paul Mescal and Jacob Elordi to succeed Daniel Craig as 007.
Ronan has previously pitched herself for a role in the Bond universe — saying she wants to 'go dark' and play a villain.
