Sarah Ferguson breaks cover for the first time in months to join Beatrice and Eugenie at ex-lover's memorial
Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and Sarah Ferguson, whose appearance at Paddy McNally's memorial marked her first public outing in the UK in over a year, following a lengthy retreat to the Austrian Alps.
Sarah Ferguson, 67, attended the memorial service for motor-racing figure Paddy McNally at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge on Thursday — her first public appearance in the UK in over a year. She was flanked by daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, along with their husbands, in a carefully chosen return to the public eye.
Ferguson had retreated to the Austrian Alps after scrutiny of her links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and was last pictured publicly in April at a ski resort.
Her appearance came almost exactly a year after King Charles stripped ex-husband Prince Andrew of his royal titles and ordered both him and Ferguson to vacate Royal Lodge.
Columnist Richard Kay suggests the timing of her return may hint at something more than coincidence, pointing to an 'extraordinary possibility' for her future.
