Sarah Ferguson has taken a six-bedroom gated home in the Home Counties at £10,000 a month and is due to move in shortly, drawing a line under seven months of self-imposed exile that began when the release of millions of Epstein files laid bare her close relationship with the convicted paedophile. Major streaming platforms are among the parties pursuing the 66-year-old, with a source saying she has been "bombarded with requests from all over the world" to tell her story. Any documentary that emerges is expected to prove "painfully embarrassing" to the royal family, with insiders drawing comparisons to Harry and Meghan's notorious Netflix project.

Ferguson, who lost her Duchess of York title last October, chose her moment to return so as to benefit from the Sussexes' media profile, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

Epstein files revealed Ferguson called the paedophile financier the "brother" she had "always wished for" and allegedly took her daughters to see him days after his child sex conviction.

A source says she wants editorial control above all: 'For her, it's more about retaining editorial control rather than making money.'
