Dennis Haskins, who played the beloved Principal Richard Belding across the entire run of 'Saved by the Bell', died of Parkinson's disease on September 27 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, aged 75. His death certificate, obtained from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, also listed hypertension, depression and irritable bowel syndrome as contributing conditions. His ex-wife Sarah Quinones confirmed he had been living in an assisted-living facility in recent years, having kept his illness fiercely private.
Haskins hid his Parkinson's diagnosis for eight years, telling those close to him he simply did not know what to say to people.
His agent Jay Schachter said: 'He loved, I mean absolutely LOVED his fans — he always had time for them, no matter what.'
Haskins racked up over 100 screen credits, including roles on 'Mad Men' and 'How I Met Your Mother', after his iconic run as Mr Belding.
