Scottish Greens are to debate a motion giving polyamorous relationships rights over mortgages, benefits, pensions and asylum rules

The motion, tabled by the party's Greens of Colour group, would prevent consensual non-monogamy from being classified as adultery in divorce proceedings. It argues that those in multi-person relationships face barriers to visiting sick partners in hospital. Inheritance, healthcare access and universal basic income would also have to allow for more than one partner. Members will debate it at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness this weekend.

Scottish Conservatives accused the Greens of 'bizarre political navel-gazing'.

Tories insisted the party is 'completely detached from reality'.

School sex education would not be allowed to present any relationship structure as superior.
