Selma Blair says she 'did not intend to harm anyone' and denies door attempt after Delta plane arrest

Selma Blair's spokesperson has broken the actress's silence five days after her arrest on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York, insisting she suffered a medical emergency and flatly denying she tried to open the aircraft door mid-flight. Blair, 54, who has lived publicly with multiple sclerosis since her 2018 diagnosis, pleaded not guilty on Monday to two counts of second-degree assault and was released on bail. Her counsel had already told the court she had missed doses of medication controlling severe neurological symptoms linked to her MS.

Blair's rep called 'outrageous' any suggestion she does not have MS, saying what she has achieved physically since diagnosis 'is nothing short of a miracle.'

She faces both state charges — kicking a Port Authority officer and a hospital nurse — and separate federal assault charges within US maritime jurisdiction.

The spokesperson warned the public account had been 'built almost entirely on a police statement and a decade-old headline,' with speculation 'hardened into something being treated as fact.'
