Hamza Egal, who convenes the Greens' racism policy working group, has written to the party's chief executive warning that bosses 'badly misjudged the membership'. He takes aim at Caroline Lucas's talk of 'entryism' and Ellie Chowns's fears of 'capture by extremists and racists'. 'We are not peasants waiting for an audience with political superiors,' he wrote. Polanski has said he would not have backed the motion.
Egal says Palestinian and Muslim members were branded entryists in the national press.
Polanski has floated giving leaders more power to set the party's direction after the vote.
