Seven accused of vandalising Trump's Turnberry golf course are to stand trial in 2028 on a charge with a 'terrorist connection'

Seven protesters — Kieran Robson, 35, Uzma Bashir, 56, Ricky Southall, 34, Autumn Ward, 23, Rebecca Sian Davies, 29, John Moxley, 58, and Dylan Chiaramello, 25 — are to stand trial in February 2028 at Glasgow High Court accused of wrecking Trump's five-star Turnberry resort on 8 March last year. Prosecutors allege the charge is aggravated by a 'terrorist connection' under section 31 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008. The 15-day trial is one of the most serious property-damage prosecutions brought in Scotland in years.
The group is accused of digging up turf, spraying Glyphosate weedkiller on fairways and greens, and painting 'political and offensive' slogans on walls and pillars.
Robson, Bashir and Davies face a separate charge of attempting to defeat justice by using vehicles with fake number plates to conceal their movements.
All seven remain on bail; none appeared in person at Wednesday's virtual High Court hearing, where pleas of not guilty were entered on behalf of six of them.
