Suleman Aqeel, who used tracking devices, threats and strangulation to control his victims before raping a woman and child, was jailed for 17 years at Bristol Crown Court.

Suleman Aqeel, 23, of Speedwell, Bristol, plied his victims with alcohol, ferried them in an orange BMW and subjected them to sexual assault — targeting some of them as they slept. He pleaded guilty to two counts of rape, raping a girl under 16, intentional strangulation, grooming and taking indecent images of children, among other offences. He will serve 12 years in custody followed by five years on licence.

Aqeel filmed his attacks on a mobile phone, planted a tracking device on one victim's handset and threatened to release intimate images.

One victim was driven to Baddock's Wood in Southmead, Bristol, where he raped her against her will.

'He disintegrated me as a human and treated me like an animal,' his first victim told Bristol Crown Court.
