Seven people accused of vandalising Trump's Turnberry resort in a case with a 'terrorist connection' will not face trial until 2028

Seven protesters who dug up turf, sprayed weed-killer Glyphosate on fairways and greens, and painted "political and offensive" slogans at Trump Turnberry in March 2025 are to face a 15-day High Court trial in Glasgow on 14 February 2028. Prosecutors are invoking section 31 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, alleging the offence carries a "terrorist connection". None of the seven accused appeared in person at Wednesday's hearing, with defence lawyers entering not guilty pleas on their behalf.
Three of the seven — Kieran Robson, Uzma Bashir and Rebecca Sian Davies — face an additional charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by using vehicles with fake number plates.
Prosecutors also allege the group damaged a sprinkler system causing flooding and broke a light during the raid on the Ayrshire five-star resort.
Robson, 35, of Galashiels, is stated to have been on bail from Edinburgh Sheriff Court at the time of the alleged attack.
