Sex offender nurse who assaulted colleague as PATIENTS watched is struck off

A vulnerable patient was present during at least one of the incidents, the Nursing and Midwifery Council panel found, warning it 'could have caused the patient distress'. Cedris Edmon Monteagudo, a Band 5 nurse in Sussex, was convicted at Worthing Magistrates' Court over a 2023 attack on a healthcare assistant, placed on the sex offenders register and given a community order.

Cedris Edmon Monteagudo, a University Hospitals Sussex nurse, was sacked by University Hospitals Sussex for gross misconduct in January 2024.

'No amount of insight or remediation' could make nurse Cedris Edmon Monteagudo safe, the NMC panel ruled.

Regulators said removing Sussex nurse Cedris Edmon Monteagudo sends public and profession 'a clear message about the standard of behaviour'.
