'Shameful': Alex Pretti's parents accuse Trump officials of shielding the federal agents who killed their nurse son in Minneapolis

Michael and Susan Pretti held their first press conference nine months after ICU nurse Alex Pretti, 37, was shot dead by federal agents during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis in January. Federal prosecutors have stopped sharing evidence with Minnesota authorities investigating the killings of Pretti and Renee Good. The couple said no one from the government has contacted them in 275 days, and they first learned of their son's death from a reporter.

Bystander video showed Pretti holding only a mobile phone when he was shot; no footage has emerged of him brandishing a weapon.

Michael Pretti directed his anger at US Attorney Dan Rosen and Attorney General Todd Blanche: 'At every turn they have ignored us, misled us and shielded Alex's killers.'
