Sharon Osbourne kept Ozzy's true illness hidden from their children and Black Sabbath bandmates before his final concert

Ozzy Osbourne's emphysema was so severe that on bad days 'all you'd hear was wheezing', Sharon Osbourne revealed at a screening of 'Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning'. He was 'just praying that his lungs would work' before the Villa Park show on 5 July 2025. The frontman suffered a reported fatal heart attack at 76 barely a fortnight later. Sharon says he stayed 'on that high' until the day he passed.
'Even my kids, we never told my kids. Nobody knew how sick he was.'
Ozzy had also battled Parkinson's disease and endured multiple surgeries after a fall.
Sharon said the band's lives 'must have been flashing through their heads' on stage.
