Sherlock star Martin Freeman, 55, steps out with new wife Rachel Benaissa, 32, at a London gala after their secret wedding

The couple attended the gala performance of 'Derren Brown: Only Human' at the Apollo Theatre on Thursday night. Benaissa wore a colourful knitted jumper, while Freeman wore a grey jacket and red scarf. Last week a representative confirmed the pair had quietly married earlier this year, after they began dating in 2020. They first showed their wedding bands at the premiere of his new film 'A Long Winter'.

Freeman spent 16 years with Amanda Abbington before they split in 2016.

The former couple share a daughter, Grace, 21, and a son, Joe, 18.

French actress Benaissa has appeared in the BBC's 'Normal People' and 'This Way Up'.
