Sir Kevin Sinfield completes his final ultramarathon challenge, raising over £13m for MND causes in Rob Burrow's memory

Sir Kevin Sinfield crossed the finish line at Old Trafford on Sunday, completing seven ultramarathons in seven days after visiting all 12 Super League clubs. The 45-year-old brought out the Super League Grand Final trophy before a crowd of 70,000, telling fans Rob Burrow "would be so proud" of the support shown for the MND community. His fundraising efforts have generated more than £13m for MND charities since 2020. Lindsey Burrow said her late husband "would have been incredibly proud" of his friend.

Sinfield began the '7 in 7: The Grand Finale' in Hull on September 27, with MND community members joining for extra mile sections each day.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal, Sir Gareth Southgate and boxer Josh Warrington all surprised Sinfield along the route.

Sinfield's son Jack, 22, made his first Grand Final appearance for Wakefield Trinity in the very match his father presented the trophy for.
