Sir Kevin Sinfield completed the fourth stage of his '7 in 7: The Grand Finale' ultramarathon challenge on Wednesday, visiting Headingley and finishing at the Accu Stadium in Huddersfield after raising more than £11m for the MND community since 2020. The rugby league legend is running between Hull and Manchester, passing through all 12 Super League grounds before arriving at the Grand Final on Saturday. Micah Richards joined Sinfield by cycling part of Wednesday's route, saying of his efforts: "Words can't describe it."

William and Kate surprised Sinfield at the end of day three in Wakefield on Tuesday, with Kate telling him: "What you're doing is so inspiring — the unity that you're building."

The Princess Royal also joined Sinfield on Monday, making him the third royal to appear along his route this week.

MND sufferer Eric Frank, who has been unable to talk, walk or move for a decade, joined Wednesday's leg — his daughter saying the day made the family feel he "hadn't been forgotten".
