Sir Tom Jones, 86, postpones Los Angeles and San Diego shows HOURS before taking the stage after flu strikes

The Welsh singer told fans on Instagram he was 'truly sorry', blaming 'a bad case of the flu' after completing 20 shows across the USA. His doctor advised him to scrap Monday's Greek Theatre date and Tuesday's San Diego gig. The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park show moves to November 3, with Los Angeles on November 4. Original tickets stay valid, and refunds are on offer.

The Greek Theatre itself joined fans in posting get-well messages under his announcement.

The 'Come Gather Round' tour will now finish in Los Angeles instead of San Francisco.

Weeks earlier, Sir Tom revealed ITV 'made the decision' to 'fire' him from The Voice UK.
