Six Flags will add seat belts to Goliath and other US coasters after a father fell to his death

Nine roller coasters are shut while independent engineers and ride inspectors review safety across the parks. Atlanta teacher Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, 42, was thrown from Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia on October 12. Four other riders were hurt. Riders were held only by U-shaped 'clamshell' lap bars across their thighs, with no seat belts.
A March inspection found no violations but noted staff 'need to replace bushings'.
CEO John Reilly said: 'Trust is earned through actions and not words.'
One witness said Kariem struck the coaster cars three times as he fell.
