Six Southeastern services are axed after suspected bedbugs are seen crawling between seats AGAIN, but the operator denies an infestation

Six Southeastern services are axed after suspected bedbugs are seen crawling between seats AGAIN, but the operator denies an infestation

The first sighting came at about 6.30am on Thursday, on a train leaving Bexley's Slade Green Depot for London Charing Cross. An off-duty Kent Integrated Control Centre worker raised the alarm and the train was pulled from service at Dartford. Photographs appear to show the insects between the blue-and-black upholstery. Southeastern insists 'no bedbugs' were found in areas used by passengers.

An internal email said a driver reported 'three bed bugs on a poster' in Hastings.

Earlier this month bedbugs turned up in drivers' cabs, and drivers refused to board.

TSSA union chief Maryam Eslamdoust: passengers 'should not have to worry about taking bedbugs home'.
