Six Southeastern services are cancelled over suspected bedbugs between seats, but the operator insists NONE were found

Insects were photographed between passenger seats on a City Beam train running out of Slade Green Depot in Bexley. A driver based in Hastings reportedly spotted three suspected bedbugs on a poster by a train door. An internal log recorded an 'infestation' flagged by an off-duty Kent control centre worker. The train was pulled from service at Dartford, causing knock-on cancellations.

The scare follows two confirmed bedbug finds in Southeastern drivers' cabs in September.

Inspectors later found no evidence of bedbugs in the train's passenger areas.

Southeastern says photos sent in by the public showed other insects, not bedbugs.
