Thousands of fans have turned on Slipknot after the band named Marilyn Manson as support act for their July 3, 2027 Wembley Stadium show and South American tour dates. Manson, real name Brian Warner, faces longstanding sexual abuse accusations from multiple women, all of which he has strongly denied. Actress Evan Rachel Wood alleged in 2021 he had 'horrifically abused' her during their relationship; Manson called her claims 'horrible distortions of reality'. Slipknot's Instagram announcement drew a furious response, with many long-time fans vowing to stay away.
Manson sued Wood and another woman for defamation after Wood's allegations became the subject of a 2022 documentary series, 'Phoenix Rising'.
The Wembley date is Slipknot's only European stop on the '(sic)est Stadium Tour', with Bring Me The Horizon supporting the North American leg instead.
