Snapchat paedophile jailed for 15 years after he posed as 25-year-old and paid girls £60 to rape them

A large amount of cash gave him away: one of the girls was found with it and confided in an adult, who went to police. Paul Black, a 36-year-old painter and decorator from Gateshead, had posed online as a 25-year-old called James, driving to meet the girls across Teesside between March and July 2026 and paying them £60 to £100 each time.
Cleveland Police's DC Sean Hobbs branded Paul Black 'a predator' who lured children with promises of money.
Despite a false name and a Snapchat pseudonym, officers traced and arrested Paul Black.
Indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a ten-year ban on contacting his victims now bind Paul Black, 36.
