SNP is to launch its biggest pro-independence campaign since 2014 with a £100,000 'hearts and minds' push

John Swinney will announce the 'Choose Scotland' campaign at the SNP's Aberdeen conference this weekend, declaring that "the wind is in the sails of the SNP and the Yes movement." The campaign will run until Christmas, targeting nearly 1.5 million households with an independence survey and what the party calls its largest-ever online ad campaign outside an election.
A 'national day of action' on St Andrews Day will see SNP activists delivering leaflets across the country, anchored by a new pro-independence party political broadcast.
Swinney says independence is now "in the lead" and points to the SNP holding the biggest pro-independence majority in Holyrood's history as evidence momentum is building.
The SNP's Deputy First Minister has also predicted an 'emphatic' SNP win at the next Westminster election, raising the stakes for Labour's grip on Scottish seats.
