Spanish authorities have deployed a surge of National Police officers to Malaga province after a naked, bloodied man fled a plastic-lined 'narco torture chamber' screaming 'they want to kill me' in the resort town of Estepona. A second victim was discovered bound to a chair inside the villa, which had been lined with plastic sheeting and equipped with pliers and hammers to destroy forensic evidence. Seven Georgian nationals have been jailed for torture and kidnapping after police responded to a late-night welfare call on September 5. Investigators believe the attacks were motivated by a drug-related dispute, with both victims and perpetrators known to police.
Spanish sub-delegate Javier Salas confirmed the existing Plan Costa del Sol security operation will be expanded 'with more officers and a greater police presence' in Malaga.
Spanish authorities are considering involving Interpol to hunt remaining gang members, as the plastic sheeting used in the torture room was routinely burned to eliminate all biological evidence.
