Spurs star Kulusevski's speeding case is adjourned as driving ban threat hangs over his comeback

From the Newshound archive · first published 21 September 2026.

Tottenham's 26-year-old Swedish international admitted in August to driving at 43mph in a 30mph zone through the Limehouse Link tunnel in east London last September.

The Met informed the court that Kulusevski's licence already carries at least 12 penalty points, leaving him facing a potential six-month ban.

Kulusevski submitted a letter to magistrates asking to retain his licence, pointing to late-night journeys home from away fixtures and the need to take his young family to medical appointments.

The timing is particularly unfortunate for the winger — he missed all of last season and the 2026 World Cup with a right kneecap injury and has only recently returned to training.
