Stabbed girl, 15, uses a fire extinguisher to fight off the illegal migrant accused of kidnapping her in Baltimore
Abubakarr Barrie, 23, a Sierra Leone native who crossed into the US illegally in 2023 and was let loose into the community under the Biden administration, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping after allegedly stabbing the girl repeatedly inside a Baltimore basement on October 22. Surveillance footage shows the teen fleeing barefoot and unclothed from the property on Garrison Boulevard just 43 minutes after Barrie brought her there.
Barrie had been taken into custody by the NYPD only months before the attack, yet New York officials declined to honour an ICE detainer and released him.
The girl suffered a collapsed lung and stab wounds to her chest, ear, shoulder, back and ribs before driving Barrie off with a fire extinguisher.
Barrie, described by federal prosecutors as committing a 'heinous crime', is being held without bail and faces nine charges in total.
