Strictly's Nadiya Bychkova complained about abusive colleague but was still forced to work with them

Nadiya Bychkova sent letters to three senior BBC executives in 2024, urging them to ensure an abusive colleague was kept away from her during Strictly recordings — yet she continued to encounter that person on set. Friends of the Ukrainian dancer, who was dropped from Strictly in March along with three other female professionals, are now questioning whether her complaint influenced the decision to let her go.

The BBC proposed a formal investigation, but Bychkova reportedly felt the corporation had turned a 'blind eye' and believed the individual should simply have been removed from her working environment.

Although the HR director instructed production staff to minimise contact between the two, Bychkova continued to encounter the colleague during filming.

The experience was reportedly devastating for her, leaving her distraught over her dismissal and fuelling speculation about a possible connection between her complaint and her departure from the show.
