Shirley Ballas, 66, will fly to Los Angeles after a Saturday Strictly live show, film on Tuesday night and jet back to the UK the following day. A source called it 'a whirlwind schedule' but said she 'jumped at the chance'. The booking is a one-off for now. Her son Mark Ballas, 40, is a professional dancer on the ABC programme.

American bosses booked her after she judged spin-off 'The Next Pro' alongside Mark.

BBC bosses reportedly fear all four Strictly judges are set to quit the show.

Bruno Tonioli quit Strictly in 2022 and said surviving the commute was 'a miracle'.
