Suffolk Police are investigating multiple reports of a Facebook post made about three-year-old Noah Woods shortly after his death was confirmed, with the creator describing the meme — which reportedly referenced Madeleine McCann — as "dark humour." Noah went missing from a playground in Brantham on Tuesday afternoon after running away from a relative, and his body was recovered from Decoy Pond by Met Police divers on Wednesday. His father Rhys Woods confirmed the boy was his "sweetest and most innocent little boy." The village of Brantham, a community of around 2,600 people, is no stranger to tragedy, having mourned the murder of Anita Rose in 2024.

More than 5,000 donors have poured over £80,000 into a JustGiving page set up by Good Dads Club to cover Noah's family's expenses and give them 'time off work to grieve.'

Noah was non-verbal, partially deaf, and undergoing an autism assessment, which added complications to the search involving around 1,300 volunteers.

'This is disgusting and needs dealing with': social media users condemned the meme, with comments since removed by the platform.
