A Hampshire farm has broken its own Guinness World Record with a giant portrait of Sir David Attenborough made from more than 10,000 pumpkins and squashes, spanning 218.19 square metres. The mosaic at Sunnyfields Farm in Totton was officially verified by Guinness adjudicator Pravin Patel at an unveiling ceremony on Tuesday. It beat the farm's previous record of 212 square metres, set last year with a portrait of the late Ozzy Osbourne. Farm director Thomas Nelson said the tradition started when his father began arranging pumpkins on a pyramid nearly a decade ago.
Sir David, who turned 100 in May, was chosen after an 'overwhelming' public response to the farm's annual vote.
It took 20 people around six hours to assemble the display, which required an extra 20 tonnes of soil to expand the pyramid base.
Sunnyfields first entered the record books in 2023 with a 'Nightmare Before Christmas' mosaic, and has broken its own record every year since.
