Supply teacher, 37, is jailed for six years after using AI to create over 300 deepfake sex images of schoolgirls

Abusali Rahman, 37, from Salford, secretly photographed girls beneath their skirts in classrooms across seven Greater Manchester secondary schools, then harvested images from their social media accounts to feed an AI tool that superimposed their faces onto adult sexual material. He taught at 25 schools across the North West and targeted at least 15 girls aged 13 to 16, with police unable to identify three of the victims. A mother discovered the abuse in March 2025 after spotting her daughter's school-uniform photograph alongside explicit content on X, triggering the investigation that led to Rahman's arrest.
Rahman kept digital records of pupils' names and home addresses specifically to track them down online and steal photographs for the deepfake process.
Judge Kenderik Horne told him at Bolton Crown Court: 'You abused that trust' placed in him as a teacher, and banned him from working in schools for 20 years.
He had planned to sell the images to other paedophiles online; more than 300 images were found on his devices, ranging from Category A to Category C.
